Everyone who works with photographic processes is familiar with the problems caused by the notorious algae and bioslime in the washwater. This problem is inextricably bound up with photography because an ideal feeding ground is created in the washwater for certain microorganisms.
The developing machine should be kept clean to avoid defects and contamination of the film or paper. This means that costly man-hours are lost through extra cleaning and maintenance of the developing machine.
By using of VLOSEPT washwatertanks, tubes, pump, filters and and transport rollers are cleaned and disinfected.
Adding VLOCLEAR prevents the buildup of the organisms and keeps your whole washwater spotless, including the rollers, the pumps and the filters. Regular doses of VLOCLEAR using the VLOCLEAR dispenser (see instructions for use for more information) keep the rinsing water circuit clean (even during the weekend!), and production can be resumed immediately without the need for cleaning.
It is strongly recommended to thoroughly disinfect the wash water reservoir with VLOSEPT before adding VLOCLEAR, since existing mucilage residues may otherwise come loose and thus unnecessarily contaminate the developer machine, the film and/or the paper.
Despite using VLOCLEAR, (slight) contamination will occur again after a while because of algae. For this reason, the rinsing water tank should be cleaned, after 2 x 5-liter packs of VLOCLEAR have been used, with VLOSEPT. Each time a box of chemicals is opened (containing 2 x 5 litres of VLOCLEAR and 1 x 1 litre of VLOSEPT), cleaning should be performed with VLOSEPT before carrying on working with VLOCLEAR.
Fill the rinsing water section, preferably with warm water, and add 1 litre of VLOSEPT (= 1 bottle). Allow this solution to pump around the entire water circuit for 30 to 60 minutes to remove all impurities in the pumps, hoses, rolls etc. After this cleaning operation, the water can be drained off (diluted VLOSEPT can be disposed of in the domestic waste water system in all European countries), and the entire water circuit should be rinsed with water. After rinsing, the water circuit can be refilled with water and the film processor can be used.
The dispenser dispenses VLOCLEAR automatically. For further information, see for more information the product information of the Vloclear Dispenser or Compact Dispenser.
