VLOCLEAR Dispenser
Precision Dosing for Wash Water Systems in NDT Film Processing
SAMA Water Products developed the VLOCLEAR Dispenser to help limit micro-organism growth and bioslime buildup in wash water. The float-controlled system supports consistent distribution.
The VLOCLEAR Dispenser is a dosing unit designed for the controlled application of treatment products in photographic wash water systems used in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) film processing.
The dispenser allows treatment products such as VLOCLEAR to be applied automatically to wash water tanks and circulation systems associated with photographic film processors used in industrial inspection environments.
By dosing treatment products at controlled intervals, the VLOCLEAR Dispenser supports stable wash water conditions and helps reduce manual dosing operations.
Precision Dosing for Wash Water Systems in NDT Film Processing
Product description
Water naturally contains micro-organisms that can multiply under certain conditions in film and photo processing equipment. Over time, this may lead to the formation of biological residues in the wash water section, sometimes referred to as biofilm or bioslime.
This buildup can contribute to wash water contamination, which may affect film quality and cause unwanted odors. In some cases, biological deposits may also influence equipment performance.
In normal water systems, the number of micro-organisms is usually limited. However, under specific conditions in the wash water section of a film processor, microbial activity can increase significantly over a short period of time. This may lead to biological deposits and reduced wash water quality.
To help manage microbial growth, it is recommended to dose VLOCLEAR regularly into the wash water after the processor has been cleaned. VLOCLEAR supports conditions that help reduce the multiplication of micro-organisms and may contribute to limiting biofilm and bioslime buildup.
VLOCLEAR can be added manually. However, the VLOCLEAR Dispenser, specifically designed for this application, enables automated dosing. This helps provide consistent dosing according to process requirements, including during periods of reduced production activity.
Installation and Operation
The dispenser is wall-mounted near the processor and can be connected to the wash water section using the supplied tubing and fittings.
After installation and parameter setup, the unit is ready for operation.
Dosing volume and dosing interval can be adjusted via the control panel. The integrated LCD display shows the selected values and menu options in the preferred language.
Container Monitoring
The suction pipe of the VLOCLEAR Dispenser is equipped with a float switch.
When the container is nearly empty, the system provides:
- an acoustic signal
- an alert message on the LCD display
The warning signal can be temporarily reset using the reset button. If the container is not replaced, the alert will repeat after approximately 30 minutes. Once a new container is installed, the warning is automatically cleared.
